Baja with 900's and #6's......

Outerlimits 47 GTX with no power.....

I certainly do not have the know how to swap the power but there are plenty of folks on here that do! 900's wouldn't be the fastest OL 47 out there but it still should break 100-105 right?

I'm no expert. But, it won't be that easy. Motor mounts and exhaust from the Baja most likely won't work on the GTX. That's just the 2 most obvious "added" expense. But, yes I agree that is the way to do it..........having a complete donor boat.

You would probably want to refresh the power/drives before install anyway so you would probably want new exhaust to start with. Of course the transom assemblies might not want to come apart, could be rotted and the drives could be milkshakes in the making but you might get lucky and have to source minimal parts.

And you have 83 ft of projects waiting for your every spare minute/dollar!

The Baja could be sold has a hull project to recoup some of costs.

It will only run 100 mph with 900's? Really? Shouldnt it run 95 with 700's?

It's an old school resin gtx . If those motors are freshened up that boats good for 110 is my guess.

Going off memory.....XXX was a light layup version of this boat and ran 125ish with 1075's. The newer Merc stuff seems to put out more HP than advertised, not so sure about the old 900sc's. So with 400 less HP and a heavier layup on an older twin step design I don't see it running any big numbers but it would surely look good at any speed!
