That's actually good news that it does have the mounts. That pretty much makes it a do it yourself project. A tough one, but doable. Without the mounts you would have had alignment issues that probably require a bit more than a "handy mans" tool box. As it is now the engines, gimbals, and drives pretty much go back into the same holes the originals came out of.

There is threads on here of the boat going 105mph before he bought it. He freshened the motors. They ended up at 1068hp on the dyno. I know he gets 107mph out of it now.

Did he delete the ad or is he considering the Baja power swap into the 47 GTX?

Just thought of this. I'm thinking of moving. I know of a few raw land parcel properties for sale. So I ask myself when looking at houses, "Could I buy the land and build the same house for less money". Is swapping cheaper then buying a similar OL turnkey? If the answer is no, pass and buy a turnkey.

Well, I understand your logic. But, in this case it would seem if this package could be completed for under $150K it would be a killer deal. I don't think you are finding a turnkey 47 GTX in that price range.

Benjen.. retire the sutphen and buy yourself a project! It's gonna be a long winter. The worst part of the project would be waiting for the exhaust.
