Enlighten me... the more spring in a spring line the better they work actually. On our 70ft huckens we ran a smaller line on the spring to allow the boat to be puller closer to the dock for boarding....

The reference was not to the function of the line, but rather in the function/use of the word. Go smoke another Ratman

I coiled mine one time while I was being written a ticket for noise ...really pissed off the Ranger .

I admit, I'm guilty of coiling them on occasion. Be my luck, if I just leave them laying there, someone would trip on it and I;d get sued.
