Cabins

There are few things I enjoy more than waking up at sunrise in a great cove on the water. I quick dip in the water is a spectacular way to wake up. I use my cabin many weekends to sleep on in the warm months and keep it well stocked for overnighting. I have a fridge and head and the ability to make coffee in the mornings if I want.

Mimosas early, then back to bed for a couple of hours of fun and then start the "regular" boating Saturday or Sunday. You usually have the water mostly to yourself for the first several hours too.

If you don't overnight, I think you are missing one of boatings best pleasures.

Mitch that was a good one:D

I use my cabin every weekend that I use the boat with the exception of one of our Poker Runs that we stay at the Casino in Windsor or Detroit.
When we go to PIB or Kelly's it's a must!
I use the microwave as a storage compartment but enjoy the rest of the stuff.

We use our cabin allot. We lived on our boat for a full week at PIB last summer. We spent many other weekends aboard. The way I see it.... boaters up north weekend more and boaters in warmer climates boat all day and get a hotel room at night. We bought our boat to use it and all the amenities that come with it!

Our cabin isn't very big, but it is big enough for what we need. We will slip in there to change clothes, and keep our "stuff" in there. When we overnight, the only reason I go into the cabin is to sleep or stab. When we stay out with other boaters, we raft together, and mostly stay on deck. I have never been able to stay in a cabin very long, no matter what the size of the boat.

Here is a great reason to stay out. Beautiful sunrise.

Even if we owned a 60 foot Hatteras, I don't think we would do any cooking onboard.

That is what waterfront restaurants are for.

The cabin was one of the main reasons for buying the 38 Donzi ZX. Although I will rarely sleep on the boat I wanted an enclosed head that is usable (wife's mandate) also having the fridge and A/C will be nice. Cooking... what is that? ;)
