Waterway Speed Limits - We have won 1/2 the battle!!!!
This morning on FM 101.5, Mr. Roger Brown of the NJ Boating Regulation Commission stated on the air that he was discussing a speed limit on all of the tidal waters of NJ, but that was too wide a brush.
</p>
He stated that he will propose at the next meeting of the Boat Regulation
Commission that they will focus on "slow speed wake buoys" in the critical areas.
</p>
He said he is going to contact his senator and request that he submits
legislation that ALL boat operators take and pass a Boat Safety Course. NJ
now requires boat operators born after 1979 to take the course. This now
takes a full generation to get all operators trained.
</p>
He will suggest that a two or three year time frame for all of the operators
to become certified.
</p>
THIS IS A HUGE VICTORY FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THE WAR IS NOT OVER!!!! THE NJ STATE LEGISLATURE IS STILL MOVING FORWARD WITH A SAFE BOATING BILL!!!!
</p>
We still need to attend next week's NJ's Boat Regulation Commission Meeting
</p>
Wednesday, Jan 8, @ 10 AM

SEE YOU ALL THERE!!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSTANT SUPPORT!!!!!

I got up to take a _iss and looked at the clock. I figured I'd call in. I got through on the first ring, but they said they were done taking about the issue. Oh well.......I tried. Back to bed for me.

Oh yeah........one more thing Dave. Are you sure you're gonna pass a boaters test? I mean really, if you can't get the spaghetti stains out of your wifebeater tank tops, how the hell are you gonna pass a boaters test?
