That dog caught me by surprise one morning while opening up shop. I still had coffee & donuts in hand while trying to unlock the door. He came running up behind me and all I could remember is someone telling me to never let a dog see that you fear him. Well that was my only hope and I yelled as loud as I could at him. Believe it or not, he stopped in his tracks and walked the other way.
He eventually got me another day. While walking out the door he was there waiting and caught me by surprise again. This time he went for a bite and got a piece of my Tyvek suit. Too close to my groin that was for sure.
That was the same dog who's owner's father came in one day while no one was around and the dog ripped his neck wide open. The owner was never mad at the dog for doing this. The owner said, "Hell, he was only doing his job! My father should have never tried to come around when I wasn't here." The owner treated this dog bad. I felt so bad for him in the middle of the hot summer that I would even try to give him water. Once I lobbed a 2x4 to him from 15 ft away. That damn dog caught it. I did it just to give him something to chew on instead of constitently barking.

Sorry to go OT but .. My neighborhood seems to be a magnet for morons with killer dogs/penis extensions.. The lovely 140 pound rotwieller across the street finally went after my yellow lab who loves everyone.. Well That Big Mac must have tasted great untill the rat poison kicked in ..
