Default Old race boats

Here is an old 27 that could run in the HORBA festivities. We are looking for leads to old race boats that may be sitting around. See the thread in General Discussion forum re Save Old Race Boats.

You are correct. Here is another shot of it.

There were so many race boats made by Magnum over the years, a few of them still have to be around. They would make such a great addition to the HORBA organization if some of the really historic ones could be found out there.

Damn Magnum's boat was purple and white if I'm not mistaken.

Could it be the boat "Short Circuit"?

Here's a pic Jim sent me of his boat when it was new. I hope this works.....

I have another pics of Jim's boat but it's not the right size. The boat was eventually called "Sea Wraith"

Sorry to bud in Jim......take it from here.....

Hello Guys

My Magnum was Purple and White was called Sea Wriath(P-51)in the 70s when it ran around on the Bay in Jersey, then it became Plum Crazy(M-51) when I redid evereything on the whole boat inside and out including dropping part of the cockpit floor. Had Roger Mumm shafts to run Clevers on the Volvo drives. Roger did the bottom blueprinting and raised the drives 2 inches.
Also had a special pair of Volvo type Speedmasters from Don(Boss Lady) that were built by Wally Harper and the guys from Mi. Never did get to try them as I sold the boat to Jeff.
Sold it to the late Jeff Galante when I moved to Boston and then Jeff sold it and I lost track of it. I heard it was sold to a woman from south Jersey, but never saw it again.

I raced with Jeff in his orange Magnum Sport and then his Mirage(Outlaw M-44) and his Velocity(Airbrook M-44)

The Mirage was stolen from a marina in Toms River in the early 80s.

Hello Aaron,

No problem, Thank for the help.
The boat was first called Sea Wraith and the photo you posted was when i had it repainted before I renamed it Plum Crazy(M-51).
I got the boat in Feb of 76 from a guy named Pete Sherman in Maitland Fl.
Will try and scan and post a photo of it as Sea Wraith(P-51)
Thanks
Jim
