Yep. I've seen you in action....

I've come up against all types as well. Heard one guy call my boat a "P.O.S." under his breath as we were launching. After we went sailing past him about 20 mph faster, he came into the same marina, walked over to me and asked what kind of boat it was. I smiled at him, told him it that I wasn't sure, but I had recently heard that it was a "P.O.S." He got REAL embarrassed, turned red - and then apologized!! We've been good friends ever since.

Goes to show you never can tell...

This is kind of unrelated but I figured it might go along well with this thread.

Last night I was at the ramp waiting for a Fountain to come in so I could talk to the guy. Meanwhile there was a guy trying to wrestle a his sailboat off of the trailer, seeing that he was having a hard time I offered to help him (YES I HELPED A BLOW BOATER) So I helped him launch and held his lines patiently while he parked his tow rig. He came back and telling me how thankfull he was for the help. About that time the Fountain came into the dock (engine roaring) and the sailboater looked at me and said "Those damn speed boaters are *******s and shouldnt be allowed on the lake"

I said "sir I own one of those boats and keep in mind that we are not all inconsiderate *******s" He though about it for a minute and apologized He thanked me again and said that he would no longer judge a book by its cover

Now if we can just convince the rest of them damn sailboaters

Outrageous attitude are fueled by huge insecurities. You know your engines big enough. You don't gotta give a **** what anyone else thinks.
