I might hitch a ride for Saturday with someone and come back home that evening as I am in the firehouse on Sunday. I dont really have the time this week to pull the Baja and get her ready for 1 day of fun

OK GLH,time for you to give me the final formal directions from Toronto to where I should launch Friday afternoon.I will be coming down the 404 to the 401 and heading east from there. I think I can find the Turtle from the maps you posted but hell knows I do not want to be driving around lost in NY for hours. Is the ramp you suggested a SAFE place to loeave my new tow rig and trailer or should I consider parking somewhere else? Please post some phone numbers for me as well and I'll give ya my cell so you can find me if I don't arrive :)

I got your number in mine Air my cell is 802-734-8284.

Any ramp around the lake is extrmelly safe. I think I had pointed you to the ramp north of Plattsburgh. The ramp that Shane is using in this thread;

Might work better for you it is closer to the Turtle and driving wise is only a little further south, that would be my choice, it is closer to everything boating distance wise

Air, I also suggest you cross at Cornwall and head east on RT-37 East than RT-11 Link to Route on Yahoo from Cornwall or something like that that runs along the Canadian border at the top of NY State it is the shortest way from TO to Plattsburgh and eventhough it is only 2 lanes it is not that much travelled call if you have any questions.

Since I'm too lazy to plot this course and haven't got my GPS card for Lake Champlain yet..... one question. How many miles is this whole run?...... for fuel purposes.....and , can you buy high test fuel on the Lake?

High Test at Burlington Harbor,
So T do your put-putting around on Friday, yahh know look at the job you did dragging the glaciers through and all millions of years ago :D:D:D than Saturday morning after the first leg follow Shane and all the blown guys at the dock in BTV (Sorry Burlington, I always use the airport codes for some reason!).

I would guess all together 75 Miles roughly and about 60 from Burlington to the Turtle with the course of the run.

OK GLH,thanks for the info. If all goes well I should be rolling in around 4 or 5 pm Friday. Looking forward to a great weekend.
P.S. that was Molson's Dry correct?

GLH 07-28-2003 08:19 AM

Are the Kennedy's gun shy!!!

It most definitely was Molson Dry :D:D:D

Thanks GLH.......... I had nothing to do with the glaciers.... I was "obsolete" long before them!!!!
