The stringer problem was fixed in 2000. I was wondering how long it would be before you wanted a bigger one. I started with a 232, then a 25 Outlaw, and finally my current 29 Outlaw all within 3 years. Get the 29, you will be AMAZED at the difference in ride. If you don't you would end up wanting more, especially if your going to run in ocean. Save yourself the depreciation on another step up boat. It will be more difficult initially with the larger boat, trim and tab takes some practice. My 29 full of fuel and on the trailer hit the scale at 9,400 lbs. Trailering will take much more thought, it won't just fit anywhere. Go for it!

If you want to run hard in the ocean go with a 33 much better ride than a 29. plus it's faster!
