No not nut's either. Maybe a little high strung and like to make sure all the facts are straight and it's a fair playing field.

Never would be my guess. Humans are just competitive.

But it will sure slow down when it warms up and the river behind my house melts.

Simply Awesome Reggie & Jeff!

Congratulations!

Any v-bottom running those speeds is impressive to me.

My hat is off to both Fountain & Outerlimits!

me trash another man's prize? never it just seems you have an agenda on specifics because you may be buying one....are you really going to buy one that will go 150 mph+ and if OL beats it by 5 mph at 161mph will you then buy an OL or stick with the fountain if he remains unbeaten?

your argument for all of these facts doesn't make sense to me and I am sure alot of the others here..I know I wouldn't care if a boat ran 149.7 or 156 mph

do tell if speed over 145 is your deciding factor?

this isn't a bash fest, i would just like to know the angle that you seem to tear down someone elses hardwork be it fountain or outerlimits

I will be getting a used OL first, I'am am trying to get the No Discipline boat at NM, it will only go around 100-105 with the motors in it and will most likely stay that way for a while.
I won't buy a Fountain for the reasons Reggie had 40K of my dollars and wouldn't make a simple change to move the seat back, I got my $ back.

Top speed is not the only thing I worry about nor can I afford to always have the biggest motors to do it. The OL has a Bigger cabin witch is a must for me I am 6'6" and do spend some time in the cabin.

I could really care less if Fountain keeps the speed record forever, Of course I would rather OL had it but it's not the only thing I look for or want. My thing with it is to do it in a boat that you and me could go get if we had the means. We both know we can get it from OL, can we get it from Fountain? I don't know the whole deal there but hear we can't with that power.

If you have read any of my post about OL for the last year you will see I have been on there side and looking to purchase one long before they had the record I am not some fair weathered fan that only cares about the fastest boat in the water. My goal is to have a 40 something OL going 125 mph by 2006, I wish I could afford 1500 hp motors but I don't see that anytime soon but hey theres always the Lotto.

fair enough...ol is tops in my book for v's but with mild 800-900's so you do not worry about them

I HOPE this run was at a neutral site and not in N.C. these trials have to be simultaneously at neutral sites with all competitors in attendance at the same time.
