Question Saltwater flushing additives

Over in the Tech forum we've been discussing saltwater flushing, additives, and effectiveness...

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...threadid=74627

I'm posting this here so more eyes will see it. What I'm looking for is recommendations for what can be used as a cheap substitution for Salt Terminator or Salt Away. I know these two products work very well, but at $30/container it gets pretty expensive. No one seems to know what ingredients are in these products which makes them effective. I'm about to start doing some experiments and I'd love some input if anyone has ideas for solutions which may work.

TIA.
