Default Outboard CC Forum - next questions

1. Do you have a foot rest? I'm trying to think how to incorporate an angled foot rest for leaning into the bolster and keep access to the console. Please post any pictures of yours.

2. Motor height? Is it worth considering jackplates? What is the prop shaft/hull bottom height on yours? The motors have an adjustment for an inch or two, is it worth playing with or is the difference too small to worry about at these speeds.

Thanks - Greg

I think jackplates are worth it. Or a portabracket. Ive run a 30' scarab CC, 28 Baja CC, 28 Century CC and a 28 Pantera all with twin outboards. I currently have the pantera with 250's 25" shaft and a porta bracket. Its great for adjusting in different sea conditions and weight loads etc. It also helps for shallow water and reducing drag. I can have the bracket all the way down and shoot out of the hole, then trim it up and reduce drag and pick up about 5 mph. PLus when i leave my boat inthe water overnight, i can lift up the engines enough to tilt them over the transom and get them completely out of the water.

Heres the link for the bracket. It completely eliminates the need for another bracket and has more lift then jackplates.
