Re: 30,35 cat question?
I have a Chris Cat old heavy ride is good at LOTO except on the 4th of July then you need bigger. I don't see towing a 35 much different than a 30 launch just back it in a little more.I don't think 5ft will make much difference around docks unless you want it to fit in a slip.Now fitting it in a shop or under a carport that extra 5ft will make a difference there just buy the 35 and be done.

Re: 30,35 cat question?
How fast do you want to go?
Looking for O/B or I/O power? |
Re: 30,35 cat question?
100++++
I AM OPEN ON POWER...I KNOW A 30 WOULD BE GREAT WITH OB's AND THE 35 WOULD NEED IO's... LOL...PULLING UP AT ROADRUNNER WITH A 35' CAT....THAT WOULD BE A PRETTY FUNNY!!! :D |
Re: 30,35 cat question?
Swede makes a very good point about beam. I know a 36' skater has a wide beam and a 35 spectre is wide also. I think a 35' motion is only 9'2'' or so. All 30' cats should be legal or close.

Re: 30,35 cat question?
I have a 2001 28 TD Daytona with twins and love it. It has a huge cockpit area, larger than all other Daytona models. It's very manuverable around the docks and launches very easy too. I think the 30 Daytona would be a great size for your type of boating... :D
