Tried it down here for a year, 1994, but just couldn't get the line to catch on.
All the years I spent at Everglades helping to make this area Cigarette, Apache, Fountain and Formula country hurt my credibility trying to tell my customer base that now Hustler was the boat to buy.
I had a partner back then that freaked at all the advertising money we spent. We decided we weren't strong enough to wait until the line caught on. Great boats, just couldn't sell them here then.

Did you sell a few, or none at all?

My buddies 96 32 Hustler had Mcleod interior but his 2000 1/2 cabin PR edition Sling**** did not. Think its an optional thing.

Spoke w/ the owner of Tripleshot (triple 525sc's) at 1000 isles run in 2000. Told me he could only get 92 out of it. Seemed a little slow considering a twin hp500 388 will run 85 all day long, some 87 on good days.

Just my opinion, but the realities of a triple setup like that is that you're adding an awful lot of weight for the engine/exhaust/drive to offset with roughly 500 horsepower. The only advantage I see would be that the Bravo-type drives would survive with that kind of power.

I don't know how much experience you have running a triple set-up, but there's nothing like it.
It spoils you the way it is on plane instantly and the acceleration, well, it's breath-taking to say the least.
The load is shared by three engines and drives rather than two, so each one is working just a little less.
Three engine boats are able to plane on two engines dragging a dead prop through the water. Ask Stu Jones about the Poker Run where I ran up-front on two engines after one of my Blackhawks decided it was through.
THOSE are the "realities".

There's something wrong here. That boat should easily see three digits.

My factory paper work from Hustler spec's the McLeod cockpit upholstery as standard on a 32 in '96. Not sure what they have done on the Slingshots, but I've never seen one that didn't have the mcLeod interior.

Spectre did your buddy trade his '96 in at Aqua-Mania in the Thousand Islands, and keep the engines out of the 32 for the Slingshot?
