Fountain VS. Hustler
#1
I was told that I would get more responses on this topic overhear, so I moved it to the general discussion area.
Wanted some facts
2000 fountain with twin 500efi, bravo drives
2000 Hustler slingshot with the same power and drives.
Which rides better, faster. Anything else that should be considered?
38' fountain lightning and 388 hustler slingshot
which would you buy? Exact condition and options

Re: Fountain VS. Hustler
Hustler is a much prettier boat. If everything is the same then why not go based on looks
I saw a new Fountain at the LA show and it still looks old. Doesn't do a thing for me. A SCOPE member has a really nice Hustler called Beetlejuice. It's sharp.

Dont know too much about the hydrodynamics of the Hustler hull. But I do know that for the most part, all things being equal, its hard to beat a Fountain speed wise. But style and practicality will be a personal decision. Best advice, get a gps unit and take both boats out. See which one feels more secure and which one is faster. Hope it helps.
Now get ready for all the "38 is really 35 foot fountain" comments. Etc....
