What gaskets, bearings, rings and oil pump to use?
I am rebuilding my motor and need to know what kinds of parts are recommended. Here are the particulars
454 stock bore
twin turbos
Cast log manifolds ( sorry cant change them)
Rectangular port iron heads stoock GM
Steel crank.
I need to order rings, bearings, oil pump, head gaskets intake gaskets, exhaust gaskets.
Should I put in any kind of crank scraper or aftermarket windage tray. I use the stock type windage tray now.

clevite h series bearings
chrome moly top ring, no gapless rings.
felpro 1211 intake gaskets
not sure on your exhuast gasket but I'd guess felpro 1410
Cometic head gaskets sized for proper quench.
melling 77hv oil pump with steel drive coupler
I think the stock wiindage tray is fine.
I would replace exhaust valves with manley extreme duty or farria. Intakes wouldn't hurt either in the manley severe duty variety.
Make sure you have the crank magnufluxed, they were prone to crack due to the lack of radius on the rod journals (if gm).

Re: What gaskets, bearings, rings and oil pump to use?
here is the newest development. The piston to wall clearance before finish hone using the old pistons is .013. The crank needs to be turned too. These are the parts I have. 454 mark IV block going to .030 over. GM Rect port iron heads. Steel GM crank. 7/16 white rods. TRW L2453F-30 blower/turbo pistons. What rings should I use. What head gaskets for either FelPro or Cometic? Should I drill the deck for the other lower cooling holes? Any other advice?
