My engines wiring harnesses are disconnected. How can I jump the trim pumps to raise the drives up? thanks

Default Re: jumping trim pump

You don't indicate whether you've disconnected the harness from the trim pump solenoid assembly on the side of the trim pump. With the Oildyne and Prestolite pumps, the red wire in the harness that attaches to the solenoid is red (positive). The black is the ground (negative). You should be able to run wires from the battery to those terminals to move the drive. Good luck!
