Drive choices
I'm looking for more info from fellow boaters on drive choice.I have a 9500 lb drive single BIG step 37' A/T.I'm installing whipples on my 525's as soon as fedex drelivers them.I now have max machine uppers with xz lowers.I'm running 32' labbed 4 blades bravo and a set of 30 labbed 5 blade maxims too.Last july i broke a lower when i was running my 5 blades and thinking the xz was the weak link.Would upgrading the lowers to max machine handle the so called 800 hp/800ft lb. of torque?Considering differant drives too but don't want to break the bank anymore than i have.#6s are out of the ?.

Can't wait to hear how the whipples work on the 525 s. Please share the info when done. If you have any problems I would call Tyler Crockett about the whipples system. I don't know if Dustin has the problems worked out with his ecms yet but Tyler told me it was not wise to put the kit on and not have the computer that Dustin is sending out redone.

Re: Drive choices
I hope that's not true.Talked to Dustin before i ordered mine and he said everything was fine with them.Hope he wasn't just being a salesman at that time. It's alot of $$$$ to be throwing away if its not right. When i get them installed and some testing done i'll post them.I'm thinking of having them dynoed to see what they produce and see if their set right.
