Who has the best shorties?

Re: Who has the best shorties?
One Thing To Note Is The Imco Skeg Is Approx 2" Shorter Than The Merc Units. Depending On Set Up This May Cause Handling Problems. Also- It Is True That These Units Have Had Water Pressure Issues On Some Applications- I Had Both Issues On A Stepped Hull 42 Fountain. Hope This Helps.

Oh Yeah I Almost Forgot- I Saw No Speed Increase On Back To Back Tests Between The Imco Units And Sportmaster Mercs. On The Flip Side Some People Claim They Have Seen 2 Mph And Swear By Them.

Re: Who has the best shorties?
There would most certainly be a speed increase using either the Imco or Bravo Shop lowers vs. the standard Bravo drive, right? I would think that the combination of the shorter drives along with the bullet shaped cone would add to the speed at higher speed applications.

Length
Imco 22"
BMax Ours 19"
Square inches of running surface:
Imco 143 square inches per side
B Max 123 square inches per side
B-Max has 40 square inches LESS running surface total.

The Bravo Shop lowers look good. The water pick ups appear to be similiar to the Merc, your stock lowers are the same low pick up version that are on my '99 35 Fountain. Keep us posted on your progress, Good Luck.

Re: Who has the best shorties?
I spoke with Dean yesterday at the Bravo Shop. Ran Dom did you send your Bravo lowers to use the existing parts or did you buy the pre-made ones? I think there is a savings of $400/set if you send in your own lowers.
