Imco Extreme Advantage Sc Drive Questions
Will this drive bolt to a standard Bravo gimble.Does it have a standard size Bravo or XR prop shaft? Is one of these better than an XR?Will my X dimension change?Any help appreciated. This doesn't need a gearbox does it?

Re: Imco Extreme Advantage Sc Drive Questions
On the two I did a couple years ago it was mainly a bolt up installation. But a couple of changes were needed. First the exhaust flange on the bell housing that hangs down needed to be cut off to allow a fitting and hose that carried cooling water in the SC Drive to the top cap. The mod was a 5 minute job with a saws all. Also on older drives you have to change the Gimble bearing out to a different one. I cannot remember all the details on this but I think you have to change to the XR Bearing. If you have a XR to begin with I think it is OK. (double check)
The standard drive is the sam but you can get it in shortee sizes too, its just the lower. It does have XR Propshaft.
Here is a link to a older post showing the mod: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...hlight=IMCO+SC
