NEED HELP, Engine dies after starting up
Took the boat out today and was running great. Parked at the beach for awhile. WHen we went to leave . Engines started up fine and went through the channel. Got into open water and throttled it up and the port engine bogged right done and died.
Checked the drive and nothing seems wrong. I am thinking I sucked some sand or something up and the impeller went. Limped back to the dock and checked the oil, seemed low!?
Can someone give me some ideas? Would low oil cause this or is it the impeller or am I completely off base?

Without knowing what engies you have my guess would be a fuel problem. Pull the fuel/water seperater off and dump it in a jar.Let it sit and see if you have water. Check your fuel pressure also.
If it was the impeller you should see a temp rise.
Good luck kep usposted.

Figured out it was an electrical issue. Left the refrigerator on while we were out and drained the batteries! Novice boater mistake!
Charged them overnight. Turned them over today and they sounded pretty. My prayers to the boat angels worked!
