Default Need Longer Y-pipe Rubbers?!

I remember reading sometime back that there was a Volvo ?solution to this? My new risers are a couple inches higher and I don't feel good about the connection between the y-pipe and silent choice diverters.......anyone knoe the correct part # and where I can get these? I am in the Midwest. Thanks, Dave

This may be the answer; I just picked up Volvo part#3852741 which is up to 1" longer...enough that it looks like i can fit 2 hose clamps each end securely. I don't know if this is the part that was discussed before. Take Care, Dave

I assume you mean bellows.
Rubbers are to be used on pretty women.

Default Exhaust Hose

Cutting Exhaust hose will not work for Stock Merc Diverters and Stock Y Pipe as they are not round.. They are an odd shape and the round Exhaust hose like you use to go out the back won't conform to the Y pipe.. The material must be made of a rubber compound . Hence the Term Y-Pipe Rubbers..

The Volvo part seems to have worked for me, but I haven't started it yet. I'm not so sure that a soft wall exhaust hose wouldn't work w/ some t-bolt clamps provided 3.5 ID hose will go over the Y pipe......it may be a tight fit. Keep in mind that the Volvo part is going to give you only about an inch, but for me it was enough to get 2 hose clamps on each end. Take Care, Dave
