Jeff-
Do you have any idea what size cam you used? My engines should be making the same power but as far as speed goes I'm right where guys are with 415 hp 502's. My boat came with 330's so its the only baseline I have. I know I'm a little out of my RPM's, I'm at 49-5000 and should be around 53-5400. Before I spend the $$$ to get more RPM's out of my props I want to make sure thats the issue.

Did you pay for the motor or did he give them to you? Last I checked most people wan to know what they buy. Most all good builders keep the small stuff that makes there suff better under there sleeve (chamber design, some types of porting, ect)but for the most part he should give a build sheet with the motor.

Mike,

Move the 1.8 rocker to the intake. Is the lobe the TM***HR series, lift .340"/.578" at the valve w/ 1.7 rocker?

I wanna say it is Bob regarding the cam.

In several tests I've seen on the bbc setup, it seems the engines always responded Better to the 1.8's on the intake side, rather than the exhaust side. But that was mostly blown stuff, which one would think the exhaust side would need the help. But the dyno numbers proved the intake side worked better with the 1.8's, and showed gains.

I paid for the engines rebuild... he rebuild me between like 1 to 10 engines a year, more expensive of the area, but never breaks ! so I said rebuild, he asked me if we would change intake, the rest of the internal needed to be all new anyways, I said go, went on dyno, did 485 hp, was happy, and was all I needed to know ! I would have forget the specs anyways... !!!

griff, I have a 97 donzi 22zx that we built from 454 mag a 496 stroker, eagle bottom end iron head with great flow, procharger m2sc
with 3-5 lb boost, rm builder cam. Tried best to do all the right things only want to do once!!!!
Bob has all the number and specs and said should be around 600 hp, also same comments from Kim Barr Racing engines that did the maching etc.

Couldnt get timing correct so started reading and I purchased v6-14 module + wiring harness. Question I have Thunderbolt V, module is Thunderbolt IV module. disconnected noc senser, plugged in the wht/red, wht/grn, purple to purple, grey to grey

Noi start(no Fire) is there some type of jumper wire we need to do we didnt disconnect the TB V module from wiring since we thought that is where we will get fire there are only 4 wires which I assume go to matching spots

or maybe the module/wiring I got on ebay is bad.

Are there anything special needed to be done to make work

Hope this has made sense if not please ask away

thanks
egb
