I think somewhere in the bowels of my garage I have a harmonic balancer puller .... if not I can always buy one. In my area the labor rates are pretty high, so for something like that I would buy the tool, use it, then sell it ...... possibly I could rent one as well. I need to check my engine bay to make sure I have enough room for the puller though....

I had a leak from my front oilpan gasket on my gen 6 last year and pulled and installed the timing chain cover without dropping or lowering the pan to fix it. Use the bottom timing cover bolts to pull the timing cover back down to the dowel pins for the cover if you go this route.
