if the boat is 10 year's old that would be 360 hour's a year . That's a whole lot of cruising and gas money
just buy it knowing that you will have to rebuild or replace motor's , gen set , and drive's in the near future
give us some other spec's on the boat
thank's
and good luck with it

It isn't all bad buying a nice boat needing repower as long as present owner is willing to deal accordingly .At 3600 hours the guy either knows the drivetrains are due or can prove to you why they aren't .If he won't deal, sometimes you gotta pass. There's another boat out there

just remember you have to run it like a cruiser and not a go-fast

Well, at least you can't say the guy fudged the hour meters or unplugged it, he is being up front. LOL.... Sounds like a lot of hours, but price accordingly and know that you will have to rebuild. Now if we could get those kind of hours out of Supercharged Big Blocks.........of course the gas bill would be something...

seena 1400 hours on our old searay and it was still running strong. but 3600 is some use! but at that kind of use, he probably spent the money to make sure it was all working good too.
so see what the story is on rebuilts and maintentnce.

145 hour's a year for a cruiser down here in Florida is not that bad at all, I just never herd of a gas motor running that many hour's . If you get it for a good price then it will be worth it , run the boat for a while and rebuild or replace when ready .

in the great scheme of things, why do you care ? if they really have 3600 hours on them then you aren't exactly going to leave them in the boat... and no test you do is ever going to convince you that they are not worn completely out even is they have been superbly maintained. just include two repowers or two full rebuilds in the price and move on. at the very least 3600 hours on a crank and rods is timed out by any standard
