Default Oil filter head.

What are y'all running for an oil filter head ?

Currently, I'm using a Canton block mounted oil cooler adapter with 1/2" NPT ports and -12 lines going to and from the cooler with a Baldwin B279 filter screwed to the bock adapter...

NO way I can get to a block mounted filter in the new boat so re-rigging some stuff...

I ordered a block adapter from Hardin with 3/4 NPT ports but am having hell finding a filter mount with the 13/16 nipple (for the B279 filter) with anything other than 1/2 " NPT ports that isn't super expensive ...

Is it worthwhile to go the bigger filter adapter and run a Fram HP6 filter instead of the Baldwin ?

THANKS !

Doug

I've got an extra Hardin setup for an hp6 I will sell if you end up going that route.
I have a pair I'll be running on my engines, and ended up with an extra

Unfortunately, I can't mount it to the back of the head.. It would be in the way of the intercooler tubing on the left side and the ignition is already mounted on the right..

I'm going to make a bracket and hang it off the left exhaust manifold riser studs....

Just came across this one on fleaBay for an HP 6..

That should work fine. A bandsaw, drill press and little wire feed welder you can make anything.
