articfriends,

Too bad I didn't post abit earlier. I would have definitely bought the pulley from you. As it is, my mechanic already purchased the 4.0" pulley. If there's an issue with the one he ordered I'll get back to you.

I don't think I'll be at 7#'s as the current setup (4.25" pulley) is running 4#'s at 4900 rpms with a 26" Bravo1. I'm hoping the boost will increase to around 6#'s with the 4.0" pulley at 4900rpms and a 28" Bravo1.

I haven't checked my top end on GPS however I had a run in this past weekend with a new Baja 25 Outlaw that said he was running 73 on GPS and I was able to slowly walk away from him, so I think the 75-76 is not far from my Nordskog Speedo and knife pickup.

Where were you able to fit the M3's intercooler? My M1's intercooler is nearly up against the back seat. The Regulator is boost referenced. I did several plug checks last year (WOT and then turn the engine off coasting to a stop). Plugs were black but not wet and very little soot on transom.

I haven't done the hydraulic steering. Boat is running very stable however I did install WPM single ram on my previous blown 454 Stingray. I will definitely consider the steering upgrade once I find the right package and price.

BTW, my 272 is a Boss Islander and it runs very stable at WOT with just a little trim tab and the drive trimmed out plenty. Was your engine carbed or MPI? What total timing were you running?

I have a 502 mpi motors with M1'S. I running the 7pound pulley it's a 3.25 diameter. I getting slip, I need to tighten the belts more. Yes I needed different belts from the 5 pound kit. I also run the Arizona speed and marine cpu with the areomotive fmu. I run it at 40psi AT idle and 55psi at boost. Also the block is fully studded and rollerized. ASM told me that they also increase the pulse width of the injectors. Hope this helps.

heatwave3: You'll get lots of help from the guys on this board. You could consider changing to 50 lb injectors. AZS&M has them, they have to be modified to fit, and the fuel rail has to be modified depending on the year of your engine. They also have the ECU program to go with them. With this setup they can get over 700 HP out of your engine, but your are pushing the limit of the intercooler and to some extent the blower.

BLOWNBOAT: You did a nice install and it was smart to use the recirc pump. Do you think there is room in a 25 Eliminator for my supercooler setup? Basically needs 6" above the intake plenum to fit the intercooler this way. It was designed to fit a 35 Fountain and with the extra room I can put air flow first.

Heatwave,i mounted the 504 intercooler on driverside of motor, was not enough room between the seat, had to build a stand alone bracket and screw it to floor/piped it up with a couple 45's and some tubing, one set of 90's back to back. My motor is efi (2ooo) but is now a 540 (ran 502 for 150 hours and needed to be freshened so i upgraded). Tyler crockett programmed my ecu on dyno with the timing set at 10 degrees base,30 degrees total but then his program pulls 1 1/2 degrees timing out for every 1 psi boost (using a 2 bar map sensor to read it) but i have bumped timing up to 14 base/34 total and it hasn't melted yet but at 9 psi boost it probably only has 21 or 22 degrees timing. Does anyone know if azsm program pulls timing out under boost? My results on dyno were dismal-638 hp at 5200/695 ft lbs torque, boat went SLOWER than w/502,got speed back by raising base to 14 degrees and going to 3.85 pulley. when i questioned pulling the same amount of timing out at my compression ratio he said thats what i needed,i am probably going to change programming or go to a carb this winter when i freshen motor. Check out the BAD A-- intercooler tomcat is configuring,if i can make it fit my boat it might be the way to go too. My 272 will run a few tenths uder 85 mph w/30 pitch lab around 5500 +/- 100rpms lighlty loaded but pretty much out of control. I also run ac 43's when running super hard,44's when i run 28 pitch,42's get too loaded up for me,also running msd 6al w/msd distributer,Smitty
