First of all I don't think that engine is port injected. Have the CAT converter checked; I say this because you're getting code 32. Unless you knocked the EGRs vacuum source loose. You will not be able to tell anything by the spray pattern of a TBI unit unless you riding under the hood while going up that hill. If it is not the CAT then I would replace the fuel pump. The fuel pumps go bad on those usually before the filter. When a filter gets stuff in it, rarely is it enough trash to affect performance. I don't know of anyone who has replaced their filter and had it fix a low pressure problem. The code 42 was set when you attempted to set the initial timing by removing the tan wire. My guess is that when you set the initial timing you mistakenly set it too late. If you do this then the ECM can't provide the needed test advance to verify the knock sensor is working. That is the reason why 43 was set. Leave the TPS alone, and if your pump is bleeding off that quick then yes replace the pump. If you have low fuel pressure in a TBI system then the engine is smooth but feels weak when under acceleration. If you have a MPI system and have low fuel pressure the engine will cut-out and drop cylinders under acceleration. Your 454 has the TBI system so drop that tank and replace that pump.... and no smoking
Good luck and let me know if I can help

Yea I misread it, sorry. However clogged converters can cause EGR problems if the problem persists long enough.

you can guess at these things all day, hook up a fuel pressure gauge, scanner, exh restriction gauge and find your problem area
