Default How do I paint an engine block... primers etc

What kind of "rust protection paint" (don't know the english word...) and primer should I use to paint the engine block. At my work we have 2 component based rust prot. paint and one 2C primer. Are these any good.

By "good" I mean any good for painting a engine block. But since the block won't get to hot I assume that an ordinary 2 component primer will do!

Or are there too big differences in the 2C's out there to tell right away?!

Thanks!
