Finally, newpaper coverage for the Sarasota APBA Race
I just wanted to let everyone know that FINALLY, our local paper has provided the Sarasota Offshore SHOWDOWN with coverage. Go to www.heraldtribune.com and click appropriately.

Velocity and Screamin' Eagle took the channel 40, local ABC affiliate, sports director out boating today. I think we got some good footage that they will be showing next week. We're trying and the tv station is helping. The newspaper is another matter. It isn't news unless they say it is news... never mind that 80+ boats will descend on Sarasota during the slow season....dah!

No, it's much more important to report on the status of the "hot dog wars" in downtown Bradenton. That just has to be about the stupidest decision I'm aware of. If I ran my business with that type of concept, I'd be in jail, much less out of business.
