Phantom for sale

Re: Phantom for sale
Unfortunately, the older Phantoms are just much heavier than the newer Extremes and Phantoms. Any Phantom built in 1997 or 1998 is going to have a tough time being competitive in SVL. Great boats.......solid as a rock.......just too heavy. Been there - done that.

Re: Phantom for sale
That boat was Rick Turmel's before he sold it to Kostelac. Don't listen to those "heavy Phantom" stories. Excuses, excuses. Team Imco and the Orange Nutz (Hocus Pocus) are over 4750, and both walked away with a trophy in Biloxi.
The Nutz will make all know-how, gained when re-rigging three SVLs, available to the lucky new owner of that boat. Blue Nutz has re-rigged a Phantom, and they need moveable weight. We do have an opening for Green Nutz. Alternatively, paint it purple, and call it
Grape Nutz!

Re: Phantom for sale
Actually, Todd Werner (Flowmaster) had this boat built and never rigged it. He had some kind of special Teflon coating added into gelcoat on the hull, added some extra naca ducts to "ventilate the transom", made the fuel tank 130 gallons instead of 100, and had a 3rd seat put in it.
Rick Turmel raced the Scorpian Phantom with Rob Stopanio - different hull. But then again.........what do I know about the boat.
