Bob-
Jack has always answered my calls and has shared a lot of info. I haven't spoken with him in about 7 months though.

The progress on your Jag is amazing!
Great job!
John

I called him about a year or so ago when I first got the boat. Was trying to get info on it. It was a good number, but like I said he never returned my calls, so I gave up and posted on here. I appreciate all the info and help John and Doug! Yeah Im busting my ass trying to get this thing ready. I still have to Dyno one engine since we were never able to tune for boost on the lake. For some reason my lightning headers kept burning out his oxygen sensor at around 4500 rpm. Was'nt even building boost yet and was running about 90 in the 28 daytona That was about half throttle and is setup for 8 psi I Should make about 725-750 I would guess now with all the changes I made. Started out as 502 mag and made 675 on dyno. Rebuilt engines myself and went to JE pistons 8.5 to 1, HP 500 cams, lightning headers, Crane gold rockers, and a smaller top pully for more boost. I bought a set of stellings headers that I want to run them, but I have the old side mount whipples on my 502's. Those headers will hit the blowers. I need a top mount setup and want to run a 3.3 whipple on them. When I change the setup I will run the stellings.

Doug, I don't think Im gonna make desert storm. There is not enough time for me to complete the boat. It will be close, but I dout it. Im still wondering about the weight on these things. I had all the interior in, complete rigging, just no engines or drives. Went and weighed it and im just over 5000 pds. So figuring 2500 pds for engines and drives(bravos are pretty light) still cannot figure out how they could weigh in at 11,000 pds. Ill be at roughly 7500 pds. dry. Doug it would be really cool if you could weigh your setup. I took weight out of the boat, but realisticly it was about 500 pds with everything I added back in.

I have friends that live in Havasu. Ill seriously consider your offer! PM me your cell number so I can give you a call if i come out. Looking forward to the weight tickets. Also, I remember you saying that you had a weight from myco on your trailer. It could be wrong. They told me mine weighed 3000 pds. and when I weighed it, it was 3450 pds.

Bob, I dug up the weight tickets, these are certified cat scale numbers. Total weight is 14120 with one motor removed and the trailer empty weighted 4840. I unhooked from the Kodiak on the scale. Figuring a big block chevy with 1071 blower dressed at about 1000 lbs. The total should be about 15100 minus the 4840 for a total of 10260 lbs. for the boat only and I believe since this was after the wreck it should have carried about 80 gallons of fuel on board. So dry weight rigged I suppose should be about 9700 lbs. Guess it's not as big of a pig as I thought. I did have all tools and stuff removed, that's about another 200 lbs. The other tag that I have is total rig , Kodiak and boat and trailer at 26700 and the Kodiak weights 10500. That is how I arrived at my 11000 number. Ready to run, full of fuel and tools, stuff and a crew of 4 counting me 11000 is probably a little short. I know with bravos you will be lighter but all the rigging adds up quickly. I guess it's time for me to loose weight and find a really light crew. I hope this rambling helps. Hope to see you in the Desert. Doug
