When are ramps open in southern NJ? (looking for sea trial before purchase)
Hello,
I'm looking at a boat that is in NJ, just southeast of Philadelphia. What's the earliest the ramps/water are ready to take the boat on a trial? I'm just north of Detroit, and our freshwater is frozen solid. I'm assuming the season starts earlier near Atlantic City than it does here.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

I'm 20 minutes north of Philly right on the Delaware, don't think I've see any ice this year on the river at all. River was recently two feet above flood stage from all the rain the NE area received last weekend. I'd wait a week or two before coming down, I don't believe any of the ramps close, they might pull the floating docks out, but you don't need them really. Just leave the trailer submerged as you do the sea trial. Pull the boat off, and then pull it back on.

Thanks for the responses. I talked to the owner today, he's checking out spots on the river. I'm just used to everything freezing solid in MI, so I wanted to get the feel from you guys.
