Re: OPA P6 Rules
Bob get that boat together, I'll run it with you in P4, I ant scard, I've seen Scott run that 24 Pantera in Big Sh.t, and BJ ran his 24 against Arrvis's 600hp Corsa in Baltimore neck to neck. I raced 24's for a long time with much more success than I'm having now.(Penetrator & Outrageous).

XTRAS is still here and coming to Cambridge last race in Pt. had engine and drive out and could not get back together. Never promised every race this year only that I would try. I think we need a bigger boat I have the speed just not the displacement most have.

Ok get rid of P3 or P2. You still have 5 classes. You are just making more room for the lowest class. Arent we looking to hook a few new people in the sport? Some will move up,I did!
Question, which class has the best potential to bring new racers in P6,P3 or P2? There needs to be a bottom and a top class, the middle is easy to place boats in.
I agree we dont need more classes so get rid of the semi dead ones

Bruce, if people could run there 496HO,454mags or 502 motor and be racing I dont think they have to worry about blowing it up nearly as much as the big HP motor's you need to be competitive in P5 now. 500-600 hp motors eat drives for breakfast in race conditions.

Re: OPA P6 Rules
To be completive in P5 now you need a F1 boat or equivalent, I dought I would have poneyed up that kind of money just to see how I would like racing, there's allot of small boats that would be racing if they had a chance. You should be able to race a convereted pleasure boat for 15 to 20K, our motors cost more than that.

Eddie, how well do you think your old P5 boat would do today if it was racing the rest of the fleet?
