I'm gonna guess 800-850 if it's the little whipples.

The point is moot as far as the hp, 85 is still 85 I'll stick with my sealed 525's and still be a threat. Tyler will his new boat be done in time for season?

To get the thread back on topic, Gary, its a shame 4 is losing you!! You guys are a class act on and off the course. You didnt whine when you got beat(you didnt rub it in when you won as well, bottom line a true sportsman) and you always raced clean. Best of luck in your new endeavor in 3. Whatever you need, let us know.

Trent, The point is acceleration more HP better acceleration! We all know how good that boat ran with stock 500efi, just my opinion Howard

Your exactly right Howard!! I apologize, I was having flashbacks to my Factory days when talent actually won or lost a race. I forgot that this is P-class and to be competitive @ 85 you need to have a boat capable of over 100.... No biggie, I say bring it, the brick wall will be there

I dunno Bern, that estimate sounds real shy on power for a whipple setup. Rob Stringer was making over 800 hp with Whipples on his 500EFI's with stock compression and an off-the-shelf 741cam. Also that's with steel heads. He even made 900 hp on one pull.
