The 2008 Lake Murray Rally, formerly known as the Lake Murray Poker Run will be held Saturday, May 10th 2008.

Weekend Schedule:

$20 per hand

Captains Meeting 7 PM Friday May 9th at Lake Murray Marina / Dockside Restaurant

May 10th Rally begins at 9AM you can go to 5 of 7 stops to pick up cards.

Card stops are: Lighthouse Marina, Jakes Landing, Lake Murray Marina, Holland's Landing / Buffalo Creek Grill, South Shore Marina, Siesta Cove Marina, and Putnam's Landing.

3PM Card opening at Lake Murray Marina / Dockside Restaurant / Band and party continues thru the evening

Lake Murray Marina is the host marina for the Lake Murray Rally. Friday evening is pre-registration and kick-off party at 7PM. If you are arriving Saturday morning, you WILL be able to register at Lake Murray Marina. Poker hands are $20 per person and you can purchase as many as you like. Proceeds go to the Chapin Optimist Club. Parking is plentiful and the boat launch is excellent. We will be gathering just outside the Lake Murray Marina on Saturday morning at 10:30 and leaving around 11AM to make the run. Anyone not familiar with the lake is welcome to join us or you can run at your own pace.

We are expecting a record turnout for this years event with people coming from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, Alabama and South Carolina.

If you've never been to Lake Murray,you'll definitely be pleased. The lake is currently at full pool and looks great. It's a 48,000 acre lake in the heart of South Carolina with clean clear water. At 41 miles long and 14 miles wide at its widest point, Lake Murray covers an area of 78 square miles with 649 miles of shoreline.
