We've just added an option on the website to purchase a weekend DVD of the entire poker run highlighting those who buy video package with an emphasis on receiving this DVD within three weeks after the event. Go to "sign up" then "enter the event" for that option. www.lanierpartners.org

John, I have 2 questions.. is there a muffler law on Lanier? If so will it be enforced the weekend of the poker run?? Also I saw your post about dock space once we sign up for the event..where or what Marina will the dockspace be at?? THANKS!!!!!

I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for loud mufflers on Lanier. The lake is patrolled by the DNR and our event is permitted both days. We are trying to get all info on updated website. You will be able to go to the website to the sign up tab and there will be a store to sign up, rent dock space, donate.
The docks are at Sunset Cove and some are being built as we type. There are three existing docks and Lanier Islands is installing three more. Each slip depending on it's location on the dock will be in the $50 to $75 dollar range per day. We also have fifteen slips on the other side of Lanier Islands, 10 minute walk or 2 minute car. These 15 slips are padded houseboat slips, two of our boats could fit in each slip and these slips are at the Marina Landing within the Lanier Islands property and they are first come first serve. And by the way, our parking lot at the boat ramp is patrolled by security 24/7.

Just got back home from Bike Week, will let you know this week about updated website including dock space rental. It was 84 in Atlanta today, the pollen is thick and the trees are blooming, hope it stays this way and doesn't creep back into cold killing all the blooms.

Castaways Poker Run has officially changed it's name to Pirates of Lanier Poker Run. All details remain the same and we will be redirecting all searches to our new website launching soon with a new look and more details about docks and all the great things we have planned for a fun weekend!!!!!
