Always buy quality filters...amount of filter paper, ppm filtering properties, drain back valves, neoprene valve, bypass spring. Surf the net, do some research...GM, Ford, Merc OEM filters are all quality. Stay away from fram.
Also, synthetic oil is generally not recommended...is not hydroscopic...won't suspend moisture...
Just buy quality.
