Seahawk,
If your gear ratio is 1.5 then you have 17% slip and with 1.36 gears you would have 25% slip. Both are high %'s.
At what RPM is yoru peak HP produced? This may be key in your case.

I just bought the boat and still getting use to it. The previous owner said it will go 80+@ 5200. I have herd that straight bottom Top Guns have an attitude that needs to be adjusted just right to make them fly. What should the slip be?

We added 1/2'' shims to our drives to control her porpoising, thus running drives 1/2" deeper in the water and requiring a few more clicks than stock, of positive trim @ wot.
For top speed without any tab I trim our drives" slowly and gradually" to the bottom a click or two at a time, even past the #9 drive indicator until she starts to loose RPM.
If we add positive trim to quickly unless its real real rough water she will start to chine walk and leap out of the water in the high 70mph range.
Your ride with Bravo 4 blades should run in the low 80s trimmed up.
Good Luck!

When you plane out on your Gun you should have your drives tucked in as close to your boat as they will go or 0 on your drive indicator, with 7 or so on your tab setting to keep your bow down while planning out.
As you increase your speed keeping drives @ 0 or close to your hull until she will run without porpoising, my boat is high 50s try pulling some tab and or adding positive trim #1 to #2 tops on your drive indicator.
Until you reach high 60s low 70s you probably wont get away with more than 2 or 3 positive on your trim indicator if you want a smooth ride, which is now away from your transom coming closer to the surface or positive trim.
It's pretty much all or nothing with this hull as to really trimming her up.
At full throttle slowly loose the tabs and then start positive trim 3 4, 5 and so on, until she reaches desired rpm.If she gets squirmy go back on trim and if she wont stop add both tabs at the same time while pulling back on throttles.
This is all that's in the water when its not real rough water when trimmed up @ speed just a few feet of pad!
