A few things. The Bravo1 is 15.25" in dia, not 14.5". Fountain used to deliver their boats with Hydromotive props, but use alot Bravo1 and Maximus props now a days. You can call Fountain and find out what came on the boat. My understanding is that many likes the merc props over the hydros, but then again, it depends on your setup. Give Bblades a call.

My boat came with Hydros, I switched to a Bravo that netted me same WOT RPMs, as pitches aren't comparable across the two brands... however....

The Bravo came on plane better, cruised better, and made the boat actually ride better and "feel" lighter. Cruise was up 4-5 MPH over Hydros @ 3100 RPM. All that said, the Hydro's were a few MPH quicker up top. For me, the Bravo's just made the boat feel so much better I'd gladly give up the top end. I don't know if this holds true to all Fountains, but these are my observations on mine.

which ones would be better to lab the hydros or brovos
i also can get ahold of some 30p 5 blade maximus props but i was wondering of that would be too big for a 42 with 2 525s and the boat is not staggered or a step hull it is a 92 model motors are side by side i do have the imco 2 inch shorties lowers and with these three setups what speeds do yall think i am looking at getting at 5200 rpms

thanks a lot

The Bravo 1's will get the best response to Labbing.

30 Maximus props will probably be too big. Maximus propellers spin 500-600 less rpm than the same pitch Bravo 1 propeller.
Testing is the only way to know.
