Anyone have a Mirage or Mirage+ 23P Right hand? I'm interested in trying one...

Don't have one, but got a question for you. What boat is it for? As you know, they are quite different.

Good luck with your hunt.

Going on a 1990 22' Scarab with a 454 and Bravo 1. Boat has a new 4 blade 24pitch Mirage and I'm only getting 4100rpms out of it. Motor is stock 330hp but told it should be running it the 4400-4600rpm range.

The mirage don't come as a 4 blade, so don't know what you have. You should also try the LaserII. Works very well on boats your size. If you are at 4100 rpm, and your prop is 24", you should look into a 21". Yes, the reccomended range is 4200-4600, and you should be at or a little above 4600 for good top end. If you have a prop shop with props to try, these are the props I would try. Bblades also have a test program.

LaserII 21" and 23"
Mirage+ 21" and 23"
Vensura 21" and 23"
Revolution 4 21" and 23" (for allround and good midrange)

As can be read in some of my other posts, I'm a big fan of the LaserII and Vensura on the smaller Scarab's, Baja's ect. Have shown to be the fastest if you look for top end. The M+ is a bit more allround, but I think the Vensura is as well.

Sorry, it's a Bravo 1 4 blade. I picked up a 23P Mirage that I'm going to try first, and if that doesnt work maybe go to the 21. Thought my 454 would have more power than that...

Wow... A B1! That is a huge prop for what you are doing. You should see a great improvement with the Mirage. Is it a Mirage+? If not, you can always have it labbed and modded for some more bow lift and rpms for speed. That is the big diff between the M and M+, more cup and bow lift. An M+ if it is a such, is also great to lab. Your boat likes bow lifting props, and the B1 you had on it, do not have much of that.

Interesting to hear how this turn out. Get back with some numbers.

I guess I haven't made it clear....................
Just kidding.

BBLADES has a test propeller program. You can test propellers from BBLADES, Mercury, Hydromotive, Turbo, Hering, and others without buying them. We charge $45 for a 15 day test.
gumbya, I know you found a prop to test but if you need more help let us know.
Here is more information about our test program.
