Scott it's 5 3/4" from the keel to bottom of cutout. And by the way I was also wondering if your boat will ever get on plane...but not because the X will be to high

Ha Ha !!! I would post pics. but its either buy grinding disks or pay for a real membership here.. lol... Besides the pics may be a bit scary to most !!
Your X is in the 14 - 14 1/4" range... So as you may guess thats why it was a noticable differance to the naked eye differance.
