Scott it's 5 3/4" from the keel to bottom of cutout. And by the way I was also wondering if your boat will ever get on plane...but not because the X will be to high Got any new pics to share?

Ha Ha !!! I would post pics. but its either buy grinding disks or pay for a real membership here.. lol... Besides the pics may be a bit scary to most !!

Your X is in the 14 - 14 1/4" range... So as you may guess thats why it was a noticable differance to the naked eye differance.

My X is in the basement...but I figure after a year of dredging the bay bottom I will be able to buy a new shorty with all my new found riches

What did you ever end up cutting yours at?

Ok ok I will let the cat out... I set mine just a Tad bit higher at 17 3/4". I could be wrong but a 2" shortie on your setup would probably work pretty darn good.. If I'm not mistaken we went through some X discussion when you had your Corsa..
