XR Prop Shaft

Has anyone taken an XR prop shaft and machined it to fit a standard gear set. The shoulder is about a 1/2'' long and .125 larger. My thinking is the shaft is still no stronger than the spline...

Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope things get better. Thanks for the info. I get this thing dialed in I should be close to 80. My biggest goal was to cruise 50-55 without running wot. Lol.

Prowler, Pete ? I think we've spoke on the phone a couple years ago. What prop are running? I just put a new motor in. Around 700hp. I've Seen 75mph so far. Haven really rung it out yet.

The 540 with the stock efi setup made about 600hp. I did do some machine work to the intake. Machined the runners down to match the floor of the plemtium..Also machine the the inside of the runners...

I'm running a 540 putting out 650 hp, 630 lb torque. 2" sport master lower and bravo 1 28 pitch. With this set up boat runs 75. Still needs some dialing in though.

Imco or Not

Anyone see a - 2" Imco lower like this? Would performance be the same as a Imco SC lower? Almost looks like a sport master lower with a shorter skeg.
