Been checking out some differant states and so...

Been checking out some differant states and so far best deal I have found is Va. 2% tax and very reasonable yearly registration. Anybody out there know of a better deal in any other state??

Yea registation is cheap enough, it just burns my ass to pay the state 6% sales tax on a used boat I bought out of state. Not to mension the money used to buy the boat was already taxed by the state...

Yea, I'm gonna look into the coast guard reg. Some more. The only other problem I see with the coast guard reg is you get a pc of paper and your Boat name and home port have to be clearly visible. ...

Has anybody tried to register there boat with the us coast guard rather than a state? Just wondering I bought a used boat in KY last yr. I live in pa. I bought from a dealer and had boat shipped...
