I think now your talken that 540 motor will give you a lot of bang for your buck i have one in my 20 and it has done a graet job . But if you have a little extra money i would go with aluminun heads...

I would think if you where starting out from ground zero it just makes it so much easyer to use modern day parts a blackhawk or a xr drive and forget that trans less moveing parts is always a good...
