Best way I have found is to use the center of the prop shaft, the dimple in it, and the center of the leading edge of the gearcase. Toed in would be a smaller, shorter distance at the leading edge...

Well finally got thru to Fountain today, and the answer is 1/16 Toe In on the 35. Ran this past weekend at 3/16's toed in and the boat feels good but may be off about 100 RPM, hard to tell that small...
