Oh man I'm bummed out. We're still out here in Cyprus doing the evacution of Beirut. So I find out we're not getting tax-free pay anymore-that's only when we're south of the Suez canal- great a 30%...

I go through USAA since I'm military, then Drive/Progressive does the policy. It's $1,500 a year for full coverage. Is that about right?

Well to get this thread back on track, I'm applying for financing next week- we'll see if the bank will "let" me have a Superboat!

I got the insurance quote and it's do-able.

More good news! John said my last estimate was incorrect and sent a new one. Here's the breakdown:

I don't think that's the upcharge, the entire 496HO engine with XR drive is $24,000. Looks like they priced the hull and power package separate. And a huge rigging charge too.
