any 928 owners??
I was getting diesel today and in front of me was a 1986 928S with 48K miles. My first P-car was an 85 in the same color's as this one. Complimented owner on his car and it was forsale so I bought it, bonus its a 5spd.
So know I have two 928's the other is an 1988 S4. So I'm wondering who else has a 928 on OSO?

Re: any 928 owners??
Had a 82. Here's a couple shots. Loved the car! Took abuse well and didn't cost much to maintain compared to air cooled 911s of the time. Had wheels like the one you just bought but I hated those slots so I milled them out like the pics abd polished the faces. Made a big difference. Since it fits the same wheels as a turbo , they were always a premium. I think they looked great and were still factory alloys. Sold it with 138k on it and it still ran strong on the orig motor and trans (auto). 3-4 water pumps and a couple timing belts and exhaust. Had the ride height as low as I could set it and still get a good alignment. Was a bit of a dog though only like 225-250 hp I think. Nice top end just took a bit to get there. Added the s4 rear wing , sanded the pebble finish and painted to match.

In 1987/8 the RCMP had 5L Mustang's to nail speeders and I smoked one pretty good one early morning on a highway. He did'nt give me a ticket.......
I'm thinking of adding the supercharger kit from 928 International, hence why I bought it........

Had a 1988 928 S4 for four years.
Great car topped out at 168 MPH, best car in the world for Grand Touring, they are cheap to get but expensive to fix.
It never caught on with sales but they are a lot of car for the money.

The 928 was doing ok sales wise until the 90's when it was reaching over $100K for one.

Great cars, but getting long in the tooth. Parts are hard to find and lots of $.
Believe it or not the current GTO is very similar, 400 hp, fast, comfy GT car and you can get one for 25k with low mileage.
